Are You Holding Your Breath
and Waiting For Change?

If you are holding your breath, waiting for things to change, it’s time to exhale. Take a deep breath right now.  Go ahead … I’ll wait.

As you may know if you’ve been following this blog for some time, I am passionate about equipping you for your calling. In this article I will highlight some of those things that are causing distractions and what we have to believe in order to overcome the challenges.

I am here to encourage you today.

Make no mistake; God is still on His throne. Because we know how the story ends, we can live and work victoriously. Those we coach and counsel, will see Christ in us and that will give them peace, hope, and encouragement to stay on their path.

One of our enemy’s favorite methods of stopping our progress for the Kingdom, is to delay our efforts, frustrate our thinking and throw us into overwhelm.  But here’s the truth. Every day we’re not fulfilling our calling is a win for the enemy.

How many of us have just put everything on hold until Nov 4th?  (In case you are not in the US, this is the day after our 2020 Presidential Election.)

But it’s not just election-distraction; it has been Covid-19, fires on the west coast, hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, and tornadoes in the heartland. It has been riots and violence in the streets … and added to that are the media fanning the flames! Enough!

God’s word promises…

For there is a time and a way for everything, although man's trouble lies heavy on him.” ~ Ecclesiastes 8:6

When there are so many things happening around us and weighing on us, we sometimes just want to give up, at least temporarily. But God calls us to a higher place.

NEW IN THE CCLC/CPLC PROGRAM:

New Training on how to HOLD SPACE for your clients so they feel safe to speak freely and process their thoughts and emotions.

These skills can dramatically improve your coaching outcomes. (Available in Mod. 5)

It's a must-have resource for every professional life coaching practice!

God knows the beginning from the end.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  ~ Isaiah 55:8-9

So let me ask you this:
What have you decided to put on hold until after (your reason) has passed?

What change are you waiting for so that you can move ahead with your calling and God’s plan?

If you have hit the pause button because of all the distractions, you may be missing out on this secret.  God’s plan for you has not been put on hold. In fact He has allowed these windows of opportunity for you and me to lean into our work.

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.”
~ Ecclesiastes 11:4

Just as a reminder, nothing going on right now is a surprise to God. He has already made arrangements for us to flourish in the midst of this.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  ~ Jeremiah 29:11

You are needed now more than ever. Your best days are ahead, but only if you get prepared.

“so that you may [show yourselves to] be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on those who are evil and on those who are good, and makes the rain fall on the righteous [those who are morally upright] and the unrighteous [the unrepentant, those who oppose Him].” ~ Matthew 5:45

During these crazy times we have been flourishing here at the academy. Yes, God’s hand has been on us and I believe another major reason is that we were prepared for our opportunities.

“If it’s not time to enroll students, it’s time to prepare and build,” says Rev. Evan Bush, president of PCCCA. It’s always time for something important.

This is likely not the last time we will see major challenges in our world. We need to become prepared for these opportunities. And the more our society despairs, the greater the opportunities for God’s children to be the light in our world.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” ~ John 6:33

What should you be preparing and building right now?

What steps can you begin to take today, to prepare and build?
