Are You Called To Teach Or Train Others?

Do you feel you have reached a certain level of competency in your specific area and now you have some significant information and experience to share with others? If you answered yes to this question, this post may be of special interest to you.

You see, I believe that the highest purpose for gathering information is to filter it and disseminate the best parts of it to others in your voice. That is the heart of those called to train or educate others.

If you are a coach, counselor, consultant, educator, speaker, author and/or knowledgeable in any field, you can take what you know to the next level and start building your own tribe, community or better yet, create a more formal organization complete with reliable income by developing your own school, methods and begin teaching others.

As a veteran in the Christian behavioral studies training field (coaching and counseling), in over a decade I have seen this industry grow up around me. Many of those who I have trained and inspired, now lead their own organizations. I know you would be surprised if you knew the identities of some of my clients.  But with that said, only the few who have been personally mentored have been able to build to the high level of stability and sustainability as we have accomplished here. 

If this is such a great idea, why do many fail? It is largely because people enter this field with a great idea and enthusiasm but without knowing what they are doing.  Many who started on a wing and a prayer exist by selling others’ content because they don’t know how to create their own.  What they need is a mentor to pull back the curtain and reveal industry best practices that are just not obvious to the rest of the world.  Some practices may even be counter-intuitive.  Until now there has been no one to teach how to avoid the hurdles and obstacles and get it right the first time.

When I began 12 years ago, it was a relatively new industry with very few competitors. Today it's entirely different with hundreds, maybe thousands of other schools to choose from. There is so much copy-catting that it is difficult for students to select the right school because the differences blur from their sheer number.  This means you MUST create a unique and memorable school brand and culture, which is exactly why God called you in the first place. He needs someone in your flavor to teach those only you can connect with.

I get it.  You don't know what you don't know.  You may not even know the questions to ask. Many newbies don’t know the time they should plan to reasonably invest, the skills they need, the technology pieces and how to weave systems together, budgeting for short and long term including expenses and staff, how to automate and where to go if questions arise, as they always do. It can be disillusioning and discouraging. One can begin to wonder if they missed God altogether!

The good news is that you did not miss God.  You may just be missing the the know-how you can only get from an experienced mentor.  But first, you need to know the format in which you want to teach or train.

There are a variety of ways to teach others with the one-to-many model.

• You might want to lead group sessions.

• Perhaps your goal is to work for a seminar organization and lead classes.

• Or, maybe you have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to do your own thing, start your own school online and do what I do.

If you have dreamed of starting your own school in your specific area of knowledge, I have a great opportunity for you, to bring your dream to reality. In September of this year, I plan to offer a 3-day in-person closed-door intensive for those who want to learn how to start and run their own online school, university or training program.  Be advised that this event is not for everyone, but I will help you discern if it's right for you.

I will teach you how to develop curriculum or your niche training content, how to set up your school, how to price the tuition, I’ll give you technology resources, tell you the best online training platforms, share samples of forms and contracts, teach you how to promote your school and answer every question you may have. I will tell you what works in today’s marketplace and what is waste of your time and resources. You will have an opportunity to learn from someone who has gone before you, worked in the trenches, learned how to do it right, earned millions along the way and is willing to teach you everything I know.  PLUS, you will learn along with your peers so you can mastermind and brainstorm as a group or one-to-one.

You will leave with a clear action plan and binder full of checklists, templates, forms, resources, how-to’s and more.

Because I am in essence, giving you the keys to your own lucrative online training business and personalizing the experience for each person, I must limit this training to no more than 15 participants. There will be pre-work for you to do, to prepare for our time together and debrief afterwards. The fee is $4975, payable either in full or in payments over the next 5 months.

As I said, this is not for everyone. I must have a minimum of 5 registrations to hold this event.  (If we don't hold the event, your tuition will be returned.)  Once we reach 15, we will close the doors.
